Um, I am female and did several years in the Air Force because I had no other viable option after my mom said she wanted me to leave the house.  Surprisingly, young people from the south with zero family money or support do not have an abundance of options.  You are an idiot if you think most people in the military at the enlisted levels are "willing" to be there in the true sense.[/quote]

Others do something else. That is still a choice, no one forced you. You could have worked at a retailer. My own dad was kicked at right at 18, in highschool. He already had a job at walmart. Still managed to get a good job years later after college.

Grandfather came from a dirt poor family and joined the airforce because he too thought that would be the most viable, then when his time was up he had another job. He also actually fought in a war and he never complained. He's happy with life.

I don't really believe you had 'no options' That's was just the easiest one for you. 
But carry on with this self pity.
