All of the trainers at the gym were supportive.

I gained 35 pounds when I was pregnant but I worked hard to keep my weight gain in check. I reminded myself to eat fruit when I craved sugar and looked for the healthy substitute for my cravings. My rationale was that 100 years ago people were not reaching for a Snickers bar when they craved sugar.

I think that there is so much pressure to look a certain way or be a certain weight that the opportunity to just eat what you want to eat is so rare that some women jump at the chance. I get it. But I was already 20 pounds overweight when I got pregnant and I didn't want to add to that. I had fought to lose weight and I didn't want to do that all over again. But it was a challenge, people left me bags of candy at my desk. It was all kinds of weird.[/quote]
