Maybe I am smug. Okay, sure I am smug. But why are you all buying this now, and not in April? Have your kids not been at a desk so far?
I'm not smug, but plenty perplexed. My FB feed is full of moms showing off elaborate, brand new DL set-ups. I did that in March?
I'm not OP. My kid's school (PWC public school, high school) didn't have a good handle on distance learning last spring. It was basically some optional zoom meetings (each class, once or twice a week) and the opportunity to redo any assignments --but absolutely nothing was mandatory. If your kid was satisfied with what their grades were on March 13 (last day of in person class) there was really no need for them to do anything else. We had our kid still attend the zoom meetings/work on the optional assignments (especially in math) from the desk in his bedroom. For this new school year, we'd like to change things by setting up a dedicated space in our finished basement, so we need another desk. We feel having the dedicated space will help eliminate other distractions in his room.
