+1. Kids often feel they can’t or shouldn’t tell a parent to knock it off.  Buy you daughters internalize the message that if someone touches them in a way that makes them uncomfortable, they should make a fuss if it’s “just” dad being dad, or boys being boys, “someone being playful”.  Women often freeze and don’t speak up when they should because they have had years of stuff like this.

I know that if someone pops my 16 year old DD’s butt and she doesn’t like it, she can always tell the person to cut it out— dad, an uncle, a boy at school, a boss down the road. She shouldn’t have to ask herself if this is one of those instances where she has to “keep sweet”. Because it’s her body and she decides who touches her and how. [/quote]
