We aren't wealthy, he attends a public high school. I adore his friends, they are all polite and usually find my son's behavior atrocious. His friends actually usually ask him to stop behaving so rudely to me.

His father... I know this will open an entire new side to the issue but I feel like my son just does not respect women in general. He usually does not behave this way when dad is home. He is still mouthy and rude but (for lack of a better phrase) really doesn't have "the balls" to mouth off to me when dad is home. He [i]does[/i] challenge dad but backs down once he realizes dad means business, with me he keeps going and going and going and going until it's a screaming match. It's far worse with me. So to counseling and doctor's visits we all go.
