Female here. I never wash my hands after peeing in my own home, unless they feel dirty or I'm about to go out or something. I don't think my husband does either, although I've never paid careful attention. I thought this was normal? I always wash after #2, tampon changes, if we have company, or outside the home. I will say that if this bothered my husband, I'd change. It just doesn't seem like a big deal! I also think this was how I was raised, my parents and brother don't either.
UPDATE: I talked about this with my husband! He DOES wash his hands every time he pees at home, even in the middle of the night! He had notice that I don't, but it doesn't bother him. He also noted, as I did above, that he doesn't wash his hands after petting the cat or changing diapers. We do have a kid - in diapers. He does say we need to teach her to wash after every time she pees when we potty train. Le sigh. I guess that means I have to start, do as I say not as I do never works. Marriage is about compromise, and this is one I'm willing to do. In a year or so :-)
