The folks here complaining about the noise need to get a life. Deal with it. What a silly First World problem, when we clearly have far more serious stuff going on. Yes, AT SOME FUTURE POINT, I would like blowers to go away. But, today, I am extremely pleased that some businesses can keep doing their thing, safely. And those folks with the blowers need the money, in an environment where many are lacking it. I, in fact, am reaching out to certain individuals to give them focused house projects, mostly outdoors.
First world problem, with workers from the Third World whose hearing is wrecked and lungs damaged by these loud, highly polluting machines. But hey, our lawns look broom-cleaned.
Several comments here are close to racist. But we do live in the era of the Little Man. Those Third World workers do a great job from my experience.
It’s well documented that more marginalized workers bear disproportionate burdens, including more severe health impacts, from air and noise pollution and other unsafe work exposures. Some call it a lack of environmental justice. That’s not racism to point that out. Indeed, enjoying the view of your spotless front walk behind your pricey home’s sound-deadening windows while someone else bears the environmental impact is the essence of entitled racial insensitivity.
