I'd like to know what the "don't try now" folks think the plan is. We'll be dealing with this disease indefinitely, and some experts think it won't be seasonal. We may or may not get a vaccine, ever. But some unknown portion of the population will never have symptoms, so it's not inevitable that you'll get "sick" even when you inevitably get it. I'm not being snarky, I honestly want to know what factors will make you think it's okay to TTC again. Widespread testing? An effective treatment? Less pressure on hospitals?
I'm 36 weeks pregnant and facing a c-section. It's a very scary prospect considering my first born is a high risk group for dying from COVID. It's also scary that I had a really nasty flu in February that landed me in the hospital. We had discussed trying again in a year or so. No way would I do it if we have no vaccine. I'm not willing to risk my life or my family for another child during a pandemic. It's not the right choice by my family even if I want a child.
