Using the credit cards gives him the ability to see every single little thing I buy which is annoying at times. He doesn’t bother me too much about purchases but the few times a year he does is enough to make me feel insecure and angry. I know 100% he loves this control over me and would prefer I didn’t work at all! So writing a check from our joint acct to myself and depositing it into my own separate bank acct infuriates him because then he can’t see what I’m buying. It’s not about the money.
