The more people like you do the absolute bare minimum, the longer this goes on. Why do you think other countries resorted to full lockdowns? Because social distancing alone doesn’t work. Actually the whole point of all of these measures is to make it go on longer so the hospitals don’t get overwhelmed at any one point. If you want it over sooner you’d be rooting for everyone to get it at once. And with all the closures we have in the DC area, even imperfect social distancing behavior is still going to help. No that’s not the point, PP!  We want as few people to contract the virus as possible.  Contraction is not a given!  Even without a vaccine, viruses mutate and may even dissipate in the warmer months.

Of course we don’t want everyone contracting the virus, but modeling projections predict that 40-70% of people are going to contract it.
