I really don’t understand how I could work with a 2-year-old by my side all day? Conference calls, training, emails, one on one calls with my boss. It’s simply not an option to keep mine home.
Nanny. Your daycare is, in all likelihood, going to close. Start looking for other options now.
Actually our preschool is much safer, as they offer health insurance for the teachers and they check everyone's temperature daily. The teachers have been with the school for 5+ years each. I'm not going to find a stranger now to come over to the house and potentially infect everyone.
You are fooling yourself. I'm sorry but the only answer is social distancing and a preschool does not qualify. People with covid19 are contagious before they have a temperature, if they ever do have one. You cannot stop the spread by taking kids' temperatures. I love our daycare too, but we decided yesterday to keep DD home and have just received word they are closing. We are devastated as they are fantastic, and very worried for the teachers. But hundreds of thousands of peoples' lives are at stake. It is the right decision.
