In fact, some boys' Ecnl clubs made the top 100, when several boys' DAs didn't.
Well, don't get to carries away with being a top 100 team or club when at U18/19 there are only 98 DA teams, at U16/17 there are only 108.
Richmond United wasn't on it. VDA wasn't on it. It means something.
No it doesn't. It is always best to look at these teams more as tiers than a true ranking. There is a huge gap between a nationally ranked top 5 team and a team ranked 80th. The 80th ranked team is a good team, likely very well coached but ultimately likely just lacks the depth of player quality from top to bottom. The difference between a team ranked 80th and a team ranked 120th nationally is not really that big a difference. If the ECNL boys side has a representation of a 1/3 of the top 20 teams then there is an argument to be made regarding LEAGUE parity across DA and ECNL. It is not even remotely as close tot he pick your poison on the girls side. The Boys DA has a head start that they will not likely give up anytime in the near future. DA's only real mistake was in not launching a GDA shortly after the boys.
