They serve two different purposes. Go back to Glee Club
Get over yourself. Spent plenty of time watching school ball, ecnl ball and gda ball. If they uniforms were all the same, pretty hard to tell the difference ba lot of the time. That's the ugly truth of it.
I’m sure you feel the same about the school musical too.
Compared to what? Pros on Broadway that are paid professionals? The only person comparing paid Broadway pros or paid soccer pros to kids is you.

This is where people are of two minds. I happen to think it is a good approach for the reasons you say, however, there are people who have bought into the exclusivity model that ECNL and DA provide.
Image wise, while ECNL will end up the largest league in the nation, it will certainly take a hit on its exclusivity. For those who believe in promotion relegation your time is nearly upon you.
So, what this will mean for those kids who do wish to showcase they will have to be very selective about the particular team they join in hopes that they win their way into the larger quality showcases.
The largest leagues for teens will always be school based leagues. No way that a league that requires travel by airplanes, rental cars, hotel rooms, etc. Will ever be the largest league in the country. How deep in the bubble do you live?

Don't intermix the 2
But it's getting there. A lot of good clubs denied DA are in it.

Well, don't get to carries away with being a top 100 team or club when at U18/19 there are only 98 DA teams, at U16/17 there are only 108.
Richmond United wasn't on it. VDA wasn't on it. It means something.
