I think "men want what they married."  (and so do women).  My DH loved my long 80s tight-curl perm and Shades EQ purple tint.  He actually thought my hair was my real color, ha ha!

Anyways first I lost the magenta look, then over the years, I kept the 80s perm look for him, but finally stopped perming, and although he didn't complain, I know that was tough on him.  But my real hair is stick straight and I was just done with it.

Then a few years ago I decided I was going to go natural, which by now is salt and pepper.  He really struggled with that, especially when it was only 1/2 grown out (because it really looked bad when 1/2 grown out!)

I've left it long because I want to compromise with at least some of what he liked when he married me. And I look good with straight, super-shiny long salt and pepper with a little white streak hair!

So I like the bra strap length idea for you, OP.  I think it's nice that you are taking your DH into consideration.[/quote]
