Nooooooooo. I have been tracking the X7 for over 2 years since it was in pre-production. Are you kidding me?? I totally thought this was going to be the answer to what I wanted, which is exactly the same as what you wanted. I appreciate everyone else's suggestions - Highlander, Acadia, etc but I want a luxury car. What luxury SUV can do this?
We have an x7, and while it’s not like cruising through a wide grocery aisle, getting to the rear between the captain’s chairs is not that hard. My kids’ friends do it. My in-laws (one of whom is 6’5”) have done it. My parents (one of whom is 185 pounds) has done it. Multiple times. I’ve done it. My husband has done it. My kid does it every day for fun. It’s not perfect (bmw tech is still bmw tech), but if you don’t want a minivan, and you want a luxury suv with a third row, this has been the very best we’ve found. We’ve looked for years. Sorry it didn’t work for OP getting to that third row, but honestly, we’ve not had major issues. Forgot to mention! Both our captain’s chairs have kid carseats in them, and people STILL don’t have much trouble getting in and out.
