He did say a few times in his statement that he was prepared to resign if US policy on Ukraine changed. He had integrity. He became more and more suspicious as time went on and started to document so that there was a paper trail. He made objections along the way when it became clearer what was happening. I am sure he couldn’t believe it at first. Who could imagine the government sinking so low? You should read his opening statement. It reads as someone with integrity.
