Every internship has a 3.0 GPA cutoff and the more prestigious positions are all 3.5 GPA cutoff. I'm not sure what fantasy world parents live in where college GPA doesn't matter. And half of my daughter's class will head to grad school, where grades obviously matter.[/quote] Of course it matters, but lacking a good enough GPA for an internship doesn't mean it is time for seppuku. There are many paths to a good life. As for grad school: clearly this kid isn't going any time soon. But again, there are many paths to a good life.[/quote]
