No need to make it illegal to spank 17 year old boys. When I got to that age, if my mom hit me I'd just laugh at her, or pick her up and say "hey, you're pretty funny!" She stopped when I was younger than that. I think I was taller than her already in 7th grade.

As for my dad hitting me at 17, he didn't do that but if he had I would have socked him back. Game on, mofo.

What I really don't get is how the PP's mom was unable to spank but was somehow able to wash the PP's mouth out with soap. The latter seems like it would be a lot easier to resist if the PP was able to physically overpower mom.[/quote]

I may be wrong, but I believe spanking is legal until age 12.   Illegal under 2 (?) and over 12.[/quote]
