We’re both adults now and it never once occurred to me (or my parents) to be upset that our names were similar. Joseph and Jonah are two different names—like, more different than Alison and Alissa. This is a nonissue. I know parents who have named SIBLINGS more similar names. If they were twins people would probably think it was cute. You and OP need to get over yourselves.
