Tiger Mom got her daughter a Sup Ct clerkship Only suckers think any swamps are getting drained https://twitter.com/ElieNYC/status/1138100488606535680
Can the editor of Above the Law (left wing blog) name just one female candidate to Kavanaugh's clerkship who is more qualified than Sophia? He can't.
that's absurd. there are likely hundreds if not thousands of young female law grads just as qualified as she is. This is payola, clear as day. Sophia will be ostracized by elite legal institutions and will have to scrape the bottom of the barrel after she peters out at her post-clerkship firm job.
Please just name one who applied and didn’t get it.
Why should we? Just because you won’t acknowledge that Kavanaugh is a bought and paid for swamp beast supported by swamp beasts doesn’t mean the rest of us can’t see favoritism.
You are imagining favoritism. The bar for a Supreme Court clerkship is very high. Only a small number qualifies. If you don't have evidence of who was bumped by the Tiger club, you are just making stuff up. On the other hand, any high school kid is qualified to intern for Harvey Weinstein. To get that job, you do need some favoritism.
Look, as an Ivy law school grad with plenty of friends with top appellate and a few Supreme Court clerkships, I can tell you with 100000%%% certainty that there are MANY extremely qualified grads who could have taken her place, in an instant. She got it due to connections.
Your credential doesn't give you authority on how many qualified female grads were applying for the Fall term of 2019 and also interested in working for Kavanaugh. You don't know and are imagining things.
Just because we don't have access to confidential HR information, doesn't mean a problem doesn't exist. Kavanaugh clearly realizes that his reputation is already mud, so he's not even trying to avoid the appearance of impropriety. And Sophia Rubenfeld clearly wasn't a strong enough candidate to get hired by any other SCOTUS judge who wasn't beholden to her mom.
