It’s shocking the silence on these boards about this event and the fact that seventh and eighth graders were showing up wasted. I think it’s because they are mostly suburban kids that don’t attend schools that people consider elite and that’s why they don’t care? Otherwise it’s hard to figure out why there’s a 100 page thread about one student allegedly drinking at a big three and yet no word about seventh and eighth graders showing up to a party falling down drunk. Sadly, the majority of the parents that I spoke to after the event last year were not even surprised or concerned.  They just laughed. All they said was it happens in high school all the time.  But, this isn't high school.  It's 7th and 8th grade.  And it was more than a handful of kids too.  The year before, police were investigating some kids for smoking weed.  So every year something happens.  [/quote]
