I don’t get this sanitized upper middle class American view of children especially when adults don’t have common courtesy when it comes to driving or being on phones in public. My kid is 2 and has been a quiet, cheerful grocery store tag along since birth. He’s never been loud or touched things he shouldn’t. Once he began crying at Target (no idea why) and we hustled out of there immediately. Kids can go places that aren’t designated kid places and you don’t need to glare at my 2 year old for simply existing. In fact, it’s healthy for them to go about normal life with their parents.
