I don't understand how she wasn't missed at Thanksgiving. She seems really close to her family and it sounds as though at least her brother lived near enough to go by her house and check to see if her luggage, clothes, etc were still there. She had talked to her mom twice that day and had mentioned a recipe. Who did she spend Thanksgiving with? She apparently baked homemade cinnamon rolls for Thanksgiving Day breakfast. Was that for just her and her one year old? Seems unlikely. She went by the grocery store - what was she picking up?
Theory: She was planning Thanksgiving with her fiance and daughter. Broke up with fiance at dinner. He became enraged and accidentally killed her. Stashed her body and drove it to Idaho along with her phone/daughter several days later. Faked the text to work and his phone (still in Colorado). No one reported her missing because her mom was out of state, work wasn't expecting her, and her fiance staged a text that said she's in Idaho "finding herself, or there's another guy, etc." Brother might live close, but I could be missing for a month before my brother would notice. Ten days around the holidays isn't all that much, particularly if she's not expected anywhere or hasn't made concrete plans with a friend. I would *love* it if, for once, it wasn't a trusted person, but fiancé's behavior is suspicious--up and leaving their small child? I would be panicked and distraught if DH just ran off for over a week and would be calling five different girlfriends and a lawyer.
If she was cooking Thanksgiving dinner wouldn't there be evidence of that? The fiance said he went to her house to pick up the baby and that was the last he saw of her. I haven't heard where he has said anything about having Thanksgiving dinner with her. Did she have a turkey and other fixings in her fridge? Other than the cinnamon rolls, what was Kelsey cooking? If she was making a dish to take somewhere else and not preparing a full dinner, maybe she was planning on having Thanksgiving dinner with someone other than her family or boyfriend. Is it possible that someone else came by to pick her up and take her somewhere for dinner?
