Sure her mother is tortured. She’ll always wonder if it could have made a difference calling the police sooner. Waiting 11 days...
Doubt it. If she’s dead (and I think she is) she was killed within 24 hours of the Safeway video. Maybe reporting earlier would have helped find the body more easily but who knows. Crazy how many people get away with this.

‘She’ didn’t do anything. Her killer, the fiancé, took her cell phone and sent the text to himself and her work to throw off the trail for 11 additional days. Worked too.
Why would a mom abandon her child on the 2nd biggest holiday of the year? Why would a woman acting effectively as a single mom turn down hours at work and/or overtime holiday pay? Why would she only text work three days after she disappeared and not check in with her 1-year-old?
He killed her and she died on the 22nd.
You realize mothers do far shittier things to their kids than not being around on Thanksgiving, right? Not saying she ran off but this "but a mother would never...!" thing is nonsense. Mothers do ghastly things to their kids all the time.

She had talked to her mom twice that day and had mentioned a recipe. Who did she spend Thanksgiving with? She apparently baked homemade cinnamon rolls for Thanksgiving Day breakfast. Was that for just her and her one year old? Seems unlikely. She went by the grocery store - what was she picking up?
Theory:
She was planning Thanksgiving with her fiance and daughter. Broke up with fiance at dinner. He became enraged and accidentally killed her. Stashed her body and drove it to Idaho along with her phone/daughter several days later. Faked the text to work and his phone (still in Colorado). No one reported her missing because her mom was out of state, work wasn't expecting her, and her fiance staged a text that said she's in Idaho "finding herself, or there's another guy, etc." Brother might live close, but I could be missing for a month before my brother would notice. Ten days around the holidays isn't all that much, particularly if she's not expected anywhere or hasn't made concrete plans with a friend.
I would *love* it if, for once, it wasn't a trusted person, but fiancé's behavior is suspicious--up and leaving their small child? I would be panicked and distraught if DH just ran off for over a week and would be calling five different girlfriends and a lawyer.
I agree with your theory although I would dispute that nearly two weeks around the holidays isn’t much. To disappear during the busiest time of year for friends and family get togethers raises flags. Especially with the mother who she talked to twice already that Thanksgiving day. I can’t image why the mom agreed to wait 11 days to file a missing persons report but I guess the fiancé convinced her that her daughter was just busy and since he was able to show her her grandchild she assumed everything was okay.

Agree odds favor the fiance being guilty, but I’m also thinking about the poor woman lodnapped and held in a trailer. That kidnapper sent weird texts from her phone trying to throw her family off the trail, right?

Anonymous wrote:So, it's possible that the fiance received a text from Kelsey several days after Thanksgiving (as he said) stating that she needed a break or some such thing...it's the only plausible reason why he wouldn't have been the first one to report her missing.
More likely, she tried to break up with him, he killed her, drove her body to Idaho (leaving his phone behind in Colorado) and texted himself and her boss? That seems to be the theory?

Lest we forget the case of Sherri Papini. Everyone assumed the husband had something to do with it - but it's now considered a kidnapping and sex trafficking case.
