On the other hand random stuff happens and an adult with a completely clean background check and outstanding references can snap in a room full of people. Which is to say no amount of caution can prevent every possible bad thing from happening. So it is possible the school strictly followed/analyzed all of your suggestions and this still happened.[/quote] NP here. Of course it’s possible. Or it’s possible that they had protocols in place but had gotten lax in their application. Of course it’s possible that this was a complete out-of-the-blue incident which no one could foresee. Or, maybe others saw troubling things in the past and didn’t know or follow protocol, or reported things that weren’t followed up on by higher ups. I think it’s fair to assume no one is overreacting about their little special snowflake given the email, termination, investigation, possible referral to DCPS. The bottom line is that any good administration of any good institution would be willing to reflect on their past practices that, even inadvertently, led to the current situation and make them better wherever possible. And good administrators communicate clearly about that process to the community/parents.[/quote]
