I know a kid who started YY at 1st and her Mandarin is great. She's been on several trips to China (with the school and with her mother). She is ethnically Chinese but her adoptive family is not so she has no essential advantage. Nobody shoved it down her thoat. :roll: Monolingual is the new stupid.[/quote]
