Obviously it's a bad idea for your kid - and nobody knows better than you that your kid clearly isn't up to the challenge. Of course, there are plenty of children who are, and for them it makes sense.

I actually have done the leg work to make sure my kids speak three languages. It is very hard. These parents who put their kids in an immersion school - any school- confuse me. I don't understand how they think their 5/6 year old can possibly catch up without SIGNIFICANT effort- not just a 2 week trip to China or Montreal. You do you- but your children aren't remotely bilingual.
