Since you mentioned the number of women who are assaulted, allow me to point out that between 60 and 90 percent of all sexual assaults of girls/women are committed by someone she knows, not by a stranger. So if you really want to assess the risks using statistics, you’ll be much more comfortable putting a daughter in an uber than sending her on a date with a boy you’ve met.
