NP here. Our income is more than 3x the OP's. We have a Tesla but use our Toyota minivan far more often. We did replace our 10 year old one last year with a new one. But we consider cars tools, not toys. A car gets you from one place to the other. You should focus on that - not on showing off.

BTW, the Tesla has had to go in for service far more often than the Toyota. DH predicts the minivan will outlast it. [/quote]
