Op I get what you're saying. I'm a nanny to very well behaved respectful children. I take great pride in their manners and social skills. When I am around my cousins children I'm appalled at their behavior. They yell , scream, demean and undermine their parents infront of people. My cousins 13 year old daughter talks about getting high and drunk on social media . She brags about failing her classes and skipping school. The children I take care of would never act this way. The biggest difference in these children is hhi.
You are not using logic properly, PP. You are the nanny and presumably not super wealthy. You pride yourself on your charges being courteous, which can only mean that you are responsible for having taught them manners. I therefore predict that any children you will have will be courteous, too. All on a household income that's perhaps not very high. Do you see how it boils down to the character of the parents or caregivers, regardless of income? It's amazing how we can have this discussion and not talk about the characters of the adults raising these kids. You could argue that in low-income situations, worthy but uneducated parents cannot properly teach their own children, but even in food stamp territory, there are many well-bred and perfectly competent parents with delightful children. OP and yourself are just another example of stunted people living in a bubble.
While I don't make a lot of money I do have s significant net worth and I come from an upper middle class household. My cousins that are dirt poor do drugs and are raising children that will probably turn out worse then them.
Your significant net worth is still not helping your logic. OP was not talking about dirt poor people with drug problems but about perfectlyhappy and nice middle class family that fail to impress her. That’s very different. Try to keep up, dear.
