No, the vast majority of our oil is imported and we are importing more than before. That is because our refiners are tuned for heavy oil (not natural gas)

Reason being refining? BS  You didn't read the whole article because if you did you would see there are a number of reasons, not just refining.

FYI, Canada is the largest gross exporter to the U.S. with the next three, all below 10%, being Saudi Arabia, Mexico and Venezuela. And if the barrel price gets back to a reasonable $75 you will see our production go back up.[/quote]
