I would love some feedback from white people who don't feel enraged by this. I just don't get why white people aren't condemning this en masse.
Because they don't care. The ones who do speak up.
Because there is nothing to condem. I agree with him. There is no future for us, I.e. The people currently living on the country, if we just give the country away.
How are we giving this country away? By allowing in immigrants? But, haven't we been doing this for the past 400 years? Most people are not advocating for illegal immigrants to flood our borders. Most people who are against the wall believe that it's a waste of money as it will not deter the most desperate. It's a bad ROI. And even Trump has admitted that MX will not be paying for the wall. Some of us already knew this and that's why we didn't think the wall was the best use of taxpayer $.
m We don't need anything that today's immigrants offer.
Really? I don't see unemployed Americans willing to work in the farms for $10/hr.
Right. Because immigrants have driven wages down. Stop the flow of cheap labor and the farm wages will go up.
What do you think will happen to food prices if farms have to pay $30/hr for labor? 99% of Americans can't weather that kind of increase in food prices. Trump and his ilk can.
Wow you libs really don't understand economics. When the wages go up for picking crops, those people can suddenly afford more for food. The rich make the less income now that their companies need to pay workers more while simultaneously having to spend more on goods. So the poor become better off relative to the rich. Real free market conservatives love tons of immigration because it drives down wages and drives up corporate profits. I can't believe I, a republican, am makin this argument and you are opposing it, but that's what the world has come to. It's more important to me that we save our society.
