I get it, some people don't like change and want to go to the same high school as their grandfather and work the same fields or run the same local store or bank. But millions of others want to see more out of life and experience more and maybe have skills that are not economically rewarded in the rural areas.
But that doesn't give the right for someone like King to use his position to advocate for a policy that suggests minimizing or eliminating huge percentages of people who represent the overwhelming bulk of our GDP and yes, culture.
If you like taco bell or dominoes, then you are embracing foreign culture.
I bet you lots of people from King's district actually think tacos are American food.
Ever heard this story: a white American couple were in Germany. Someone sneezed, and a German said "Gesundheit". The American person said, "Oh, look dear, that person speaks English".
Is that how you spell that??? Thanks.

Because they don't care.
The ones who do speak up.
Because there is nothing to condem. I agree with him. There is no future for us, I.e. The people currently living on the country, if we just give the country away.
How are we giving this country away? By allowing in immigrants? But, haven't we been doing this for the past 400 years? Most people are not advocating for illegal immigrants to flood our borders. Most people who are against the wall believe that it's a waste of money as it will not deter the most desperate. It's a bad ROI. And even Trump has admitted that MX will not be paying for the wall. Some of us already knew this and that's why we didn't think the wall was the best use of taxpayer $.
We don't need anything that today's immigrants offer.
Really? I don't see unemployed Americans willing to work in the farms for $10/hr.
Right. Because immigrants have driven wages down. Stop the flow of cheap labor and the farm wages will go up.
What do you think will happen to food prices if farms have to pay $30/hr for labor? 99% of Americans can't weather that kind of increase in food prices. Trump and his ilk can.
Wow you libs really don't understand economics. When the wages go up for picking crops, those people can suddenly afford more for food. The rich make the less income now that their companies need to pay workers more while simultaneously having to spend more on goods. So the poor become better off relative to the rich. Real free market conservatives love tons of immigration because it drives down wages and drives up corporate profits. I can't believe I, a republican, am makin this argument and you are opposing it, but that's what the world has come to. It's more important to me that we save our society.

What is actually going to happen is we'll get more imported food, so long as the idiot in chief doesn't make that impossible. I hope you like driving the remaining American farms straight out of business.
And even if farm labor wages go up - which is not likely - MY wages are not going to go up. I work in a completely unrelated field.
I can't believe conservatives make the idiotic arguments you expect to hear from Stalinists.

I agree with King 100%. We can't just give our nation away to foreigners.
Are you a native American? Everyone else is a "foreigner".
Nope. We conquered the land from the natives. That's how it works. If ISIS or Mexico wants to invade and give it a try, have at it.
You are still a foreigner. And dollars down that YOU did not conquer it from anyone and also chances are that your ancestors came here seeking a better life - unless your ancestors were wealthy immigrants, which is uncommon.
I inherited my share of the country from those that claimed it, fought for it, defended it. It's MINE now. It's MY SAY (our say) as to whether I share it. And I say NO. You say yes, open the floodgates and give it away. But luckily more people agree with me.
Actually Trump lost the popular vote by 3 million give or take a few. So even that statement of yours is wrong.
