The judge makes the final decision, but usually weighs the prosecutor’s request heavily to determine the sentence. Sometimes judges do reject deals. Until her sentencing hearing, there’s no way to know for sure what will happen. But if I had to guess it’ll probably be closer to what prosecutors are asking for rather than 10 years. [/quote]
