The US and the West are far from perfect but given me messy democracy over clinical dictatorships any day and every day. That is why Russia and China have been finding massive misinformation campaigns in US and Western allies for many years - to undermine confidence in the government and democracy and open competitive markets. They play on fear of illegal immigration and racism to exploit populist anti government nationalism that undermines our democracies.
