It is outrageously stressful, but what is the alternative process you suggest?  I think the main point and benefit of having until Tues to accept/decline is to not be strongarmed by aggressive clubs to accept on the spot because if you don't on the spot, you'll lose that chance.  Knowing what your choices are when you finally decide makes it far more likely there will NOT be massive shakeups and lots of players on teams they didn't want but accepted because they were scared, then could have been on a better/more desired team.

We made our decisions within hours of her last tryout (which was Sat) and let all 4 teams know right away on Sat. We would never want to be those parents sitting on an offer in hopes something better would come along but early in our DDs playing we were you, waiting hoping for something, and we did wait to accept our last choice because we were praying we'd get something better, and we usually did at the last minute.

It's very frustrating and exhausting, but what alternative process do you propose so girls aren't strong-armed right away into decisions on the spot or that same day that they truly regret later?[/quote]
