This is a special kind of backlash that happens any time someone says something positive. It's a very negative feature of these boards.  I recall one parent complimenting a defender on SSSAS after his daughter's team played them last Spring, and the post invited a page worth of invective accusing him of being the player's parent and transparently trying to promote his daughter.  Really toxic stuff.  She turned out to be a 5 Star, top-5 Defender per Inside Lacrosse and committed to Virginia last week.  Pretty worthy of a neutral party's positive observation.

Agreed. The HS lax industry can be toxic because of the adults with different agendas. We should celebrate the achievements of the girls.[/quote]
