This is a special kind of backlash that happens any time someone says something positive. It's a very negative feature of these boards. I recall one parent complimenting a defender on SSSAS after his daughter's team played them last Spring, and the post invited a page worth of invective accusing him of being the player's parent and transparently trying to promote his daughter. Really toxic stuff. She turned out to be a 5 Star, top-5 Defender per Inside Lacrosse and committed to Virginia last week. Pretty worthy of a neutral party's positive observation.
My suggestion, say positive things anyway and ignore the backlash.
Agreed. The HS lax industry can be toxic because of the adults with different agendas. We should celebrate the achievements of the girls.

But 20 years from now, your daughter is much more likely to look fondly back on the great times at BLC 27s or high school than her college lax experience. Much more likely. Seen it happen from both my daughters.

I think the more impressive list is the Coppermine 27s. That is a club with very little history and ranked Lower than Capital. No one argued that Capital didn’t have good players that could get recruited. BLC and Pride were top middle school teams. Getting bottom half of their roster committed to top skills will be more of a statement. Also, the lack of Orange commitments will speak to the decline.

A little harsh, but pretty accurate.
Is this weak 2027 class in for a rude awakening in college? Yes, for sure. But congrats to them for getting a verbal offer from schools most of them would not get into without lacrosse.
