It will never cease to amaze me that Gaza is literally starving to death right now - food is so scarce and baby formula is pretty much all gone… and here some people are debating some wishy washy claims that can’t be proven or verified bc some privileged people have found ways to continue to center themselves during a genocide. And we wonder why the world is irredeemable and the future is bleak for all our kids. Well done.
This. Half the world could be dying of war and starvation but we must focus on remembering the Holocaust. Does anyone else besides Jewish people matter to some of you?
I get your point but trauma can make people self-centered. Jews are a traumatized population.
They are not the only traumatized people FFS.
True. But the only group in the last century where 6 million of its members died because of attempted systematic state-sponsored genocide. .
Stalin in Russia and Mao in China killed around 50 million each. Every fourth Cambodian was killed in their genocide. Around 3 million died during India and Pakistan's partition by British etc. That being said, point isn't to minimize holocaust but highlighting that its not the only trauma worth mentioning. That's an insensitive.
Not minimizing those horrific killings, but Stalin, Mao, and the Khmer Rouge committed auto-genocides.
Really PP? Do you think those victims make a distinction on what you call it. For the survivors it was genocide and traumatic.
