America agrees this is terrible Im a white conservative trump supporter, support cops, etc. Once I watched the video, I would tell anyone it's beyond disgusting The black community is hurting themselves acting like this and rioting. Giving the media what it wants. Stop it!
"The black community" aren't the only people protesting...
True, but they’re the only ones looting.
Focusing on the looting = waving the confederate flag. Did you get our your special tiki torches out on Memorial Day?
This is a weak statement. The rioting and looting were a result of the reaction to this awful death. They are hurting innocent business owners, destroying property, and causing the taxpayers of the city undue costs. The police station and police cars that were damaged and destroyed? They'll be repaired and replaced - at the taxpayers expense. Rioting and looting is just stupid and short sighted. Many were simply taking advantage of a bad situation. The people there who were protesting should speak out against these criminals.
The only criminals we really need to focus on right now are the killer cops. Your continued focus on looting says a lot about you.
Really? Looting going on right now at the Target in Minneapolis. When you come out to protest, and you start stealing stuff, you become a thief. When you come out to protest, and you start burning stuff, you become an arsonist. Thieves and arsonists are criminals. The justice system will take care of the cops. Hopefully, the justice system will also take care of the criminals who are taking advantage of this situation.
Looting isn’t the issue here. . . .
Really? - what about all the sick people who depended on the pharmacy for their life-saving medications? - how about those who depended on the Target minute clinic? - and now the Target employees there are unemployed. For what? Those looters just victimized countless innocent people right there in their own community. But you don’t think it’s an issue at all??!?
Black lives matter more than Target stores. It's pretty simple. And I live in South Minneapolis. I've gone to that Target many times. We have hundreds more and tons of Minute Clinics. This is Minneapolis, HQ of Target - we aren't suffering for retail options. Get a sense of perspective. We only had one George Floyd, and we can't bring him back.
You are a simpering idiot. A lot of independent businesses were also destroyed. A lot of those people probably had all of their life savings poured into those businesses and now they are left with nothing because a bunch of poser knuckleheads who probably didn’t even know the dead guy’s name used this tragedy as an excuse to loot and steal. Would you say to these business owners that the looting doesn’t matter? Or that they deserved it? What if that was your business?
The only idiot is the one who thinks business losses are a bigger issue than police brutality.
It’s not an either or situation, dummy. You can be against both. And opposing the looting and arson which could easily have killed numerous other people and in fact DID result in another man’s death does not mean that one is valuing property over human life. But you seem stubborn and lacking in critical thinking skills so it is really no wonder that you can’t comprehend this.
Go crawl in a hole and stop antagonizing people here. We see your racism for what it is.
Yeah, everyone who opposes theft and arson is now a racist according to you. What a nutjob!
No. Continuing to push looting as THE big issue here is the sign of a racist. How many posts have you made about the arson vs. the injustice of the police not being arrested yet?
The focus definitely needs to go back to the injustice tbat was done by the police. The problem is that it's hard for people to support the actions of some of the rioters now that they started looting. If they are serious about getting support from these rallies, then they really need to stop breaking things and looting stores. I get that these may have insurance but a lot of people will become conflicted now because supporting the rally would seem to support these actions as well. I understand that not everyone is doing it, but the small percentage of people who do are ruining it for everyone. Maybe they just went TV here in the first place to take advantage of the situation, idk, and no, just because they are angry doesn't mean they should go around trashing and looting. They point of the rally should be to draw attention to the injustices.
You should really study political violence. They aren't doing this because they're angry. They are doing this to gain leverage in their negotiation with the state- it's quid pro quo. Don't allow cops to kill black people and we won't burn your city to the ground. It's a reasonable deal, Minneapolis should take it.
What about the thousands of innocent people, most of whom are black, who will be negatively affected by the decision of a few to destroy the neighborhood? Are they just collateral damage? You don’t seem to have any concern for them. Very strange worldview you have.
Exactly.
