No they did not.  They got rid of geographical preference for admission (meaning the Claremont neighbohood used to have guaranteed admission, and they dropped that.

From the APS site:
Claremont:
Population it serves — Kindergarten to 5th grade. Serves students from the following elementary school attendance areas: Abingdon, Ashlawn, Barcroft, Carlin Springs, Drew Model, Hoffman-Boston, McKinley, Nottingham, Oakridge, Tuckahoe, and Randolph.

Key:
Population it Serves — Kindergarten to 5th grade. Serves students from the following elementary school attendance areas: Arlington Science Focus/Key, Barrett, Discovery, Glebe, Henry, Jamestown, Long Branch, and Taylor.[/quote]
