There are ways a goalie can increase their odds on the 8m, which she works on regularly with her goalie coach, which accounts for a good bit of the success.  Its early season, so limited sample size.  Her school is not at the highest level of competition and she is very strong against girls who take one step and wail it.  If I had to guess, between club and school since freshman year, she's somewhere around 55 to 60% against the 8m.  [/quote]

She isn’t facing Reese, Rassas, Fossati, or other elite shooters who hit any corner with velocity. And if a girl is remotely skilled, she will charge in and find the opening. Sorry to pour cold water on your daughter but the best of the best goalies don’t come close to 50% on 8 meters.

The girl who scored from St Mary’s is top notch and 6’ tall. I’d imagine she scores on 80% of 8 meters against the best goalies in the country. And they all are coached by the best goalie coaches in the country. [/quote]
