[twitter]https://x.com/ppollingnumbers/status/2029394065842663465?s=46&t=kf1qYlCXQnKgUhJWEIu2vg[/twitter]
Now Crockett's voters will have to return in November and vote. I hope her first time voters do not become disillusioned and decide to sit it out.
And the other major question is: Will Paxton's voters show up for Cornyn in November without Trump on the ballot?
Yes. The prediction is that if Cornyn is the candidate he will win.
 It's a long way to election day, and American people seem to want change. It will be a very clear choice that Texans will be able to make about whether they want the 74 year incumbent Republican who has held that seat for a quarter of a century and is known for supporting tax cuts for billionaires while voting against the ACA providing health insurance for Americans and being anti-gay or a 35 year old Teach for America vet and Presbyterian seminarian who speaks decent SPanish.
I'm not sure what warrants the eye roll, especially when your answer is to lay out a kindergarten level explanation of the two candidates and state that it's a long way to election day, which means the tide could turn back in Trump's favor as it so often has. Texas hasn't elected a Democrat to statewide office in over 30 years. And not for lack of trying. Cornyn's age and experience aren't going to be detractors for Republican voters or MAGA voters. They might have preferred Paxton because he's more MAGA but they will still turn out for Cornyn against any Democrat. The reverse is not true if Paxton is the candidate. That's where you may see people turning out to keep Paxton out of office and those are the votes that Talarico needs.
