That doesn't make sense (and I don't care that you're righty, your neurons work just as well as mine). Maxwell benefits only if nothing gets out, so she can be of value to Trump (and others) by being the sole repository of dangerous info and agree to silence in exchange for clemency or creature comforts. This also makes her a potential target of assassination, but of course, she can protect herself by the release of data upon her death, via attorneys. If everything gets out in the open, she has no value whatsoever. Her role in the trafficking is better known, and thus... the possibility of getting out of prison early or benefiting from a pardon becomes remote.

I’m the person you’re responding to. Imagine that she had something super damning on Trump. I’m not saying she does, but just assume it for a sec. You could easily imagine Maxwell thinking that Trump would assume she’s too afraid to leak lest powerful people kill her before her stuff on them comes out. By releasing something bad but not fatal, she could be signaling to Trump that now is the time to cut a deal before she releases whatever else she’s got. [/quote]
