Wow! I am SO glad to hear a liberal Jew you say this. All I am seeing on this site is a seething resentment and anger from blacks toward Jews, and I too have done much to help black people - including generous donations to a program that helps poor black children in particular. (Even more ironic is that when you bring up Jewish generosity toward blacks, you're hit with more anger about patronizing attitudes and comments like "so you Jews think we blacks need help? Well we don't need help from YOU!"

This case with Trayon White has revealed the seething hostility - yes, antisemtism - from blacks toward Jews. I suspected it existed to some degree, but what I've seen here goes far beyond.[/quote]
Are you truly sure you are reacting to the sentiments of black people? I'm a black male and I have posted repeatedly that White was dead wrong and he should resign. I've seen posts were other black people said the same.

Sockpuppets have a real presence on this and other internet forums - for the purpose of fanning flames and division. They are BUSY.

I appreciate your post, and it's possible that the people showing themselves as angry and antisemtitc black males - which they do in their posts - are not who they pretend to be. Still, the hatred and resentment they exoress is so visceral at a gut level that I tend to believe it is real.

That said, you'll note that I did not say I am reconsidering my donations to the program helping poor black children, as I don't want to punish children for the prejudice of their parents. Still, it does take discipline for me to continue my support when that help is attacked as being "patronizing." I'm not asking for accolades for donating to black causes, but I don't expect to be attacked for it either.

Finally, your poat provides nice counterpoint to the seeming black-hatred-for-Jews posts I've been seeing, and is very reassuring. Thank you.
