The camps at the link you included are ~$350 for 5 days from 9-4. Honestly, that seems like a really good deal compared to camps put on by colleges or clubs. They are a good deal regarding how much you pay per hour, not for the quality of the instruction. Honestly, I would take advantage of these camps if my DD was a beginner. But - as a club player - this camp would be a waste of time. We tried to return to a rec league last summer just to get a few more touches, but I would not do it again. Clearly you cannot compare the pricing with that of most clubs or colleges. There is no way I am going to drop $477 for the AU skill camp because of our particular circumstances. My DD will not play in college, so we see no point in throwing that kind of money at the sport. Other families may see things differently, they may have extra cash, and they might be willing to spend it. I am not judging. [/quote]
