Nobody does this though. Most ECNL teams with rosters that big do so because they are either using playups, dual roster, discovery, trapped, or other part time players, or they are older teams where half the girls are committed and don't showcase anyway. In any case, they won't bring more than 18 typically. Most coaches will make sure that everyone gets a reasonable amount of playing time at a showcase.

I haven't seen a roster get to 30; however, it's more common than not to have rosters near the mid-20s.  Not every kid gets to play every game, true, but I wouldn't prescribe that to one line of reasoning.  Sometimes logistics play a role (can't afford the 3rd out-of-state competition), and yes sometimes the kids are there simply as a revenue stream.[/quote]

There are big rosters here and there at many clubs as the reasons can vary from team to team as to why. Many of the reasons above are among them. [/quote]
