It's not just foreigners. Record number of Americans have left, and/or want to leave. https://www.yahoo.com/news/articles/record-number-americans-leaving-country-235811995.html
According to a February 2025 Harris poll, 68 percent of Americans considering leaving the U.S. cited unattainable home ownership and a sense they were “merely surviving instead of thriving.” Meanwhile, 49 percent cited high living expenses and disagreements with the political situation in the U.S.

We have thought about leaving but everywhere right now has been infected with ultra right wing nut jobs.
My spouse is from the UK, and we've thought of moving there. But, I did voice my concerns to my spouse and their UK friends about the ultra right wingers there (I'm not white, and of course, I'd be an immigrant). That said, the ultra right wingers in the UK is nothing compared to MAGA here. A friend and their spouse (biracial couple from the UK) live in Porto, Portugal. They are super happy there. I feel like Spain, Portugal even the UK i better than here right now. At minimum, their government isn't anti-vax and anti-science. They actually care about their people's health and well being.
