OMWI offices at all the FIRREA agencies are being effectively shut down, with only the statutorily required Executive Director role remaining. The biggest target is the Office of Management, which includes IT, human resources, acquisitions, training, budget, travel, etc.. That office currently has about 500 employees, and leadership appears to be aiming to reduce it to around 250.  They’ve made it clear that the examination divisions won’t be subject to RIFs, though they have consolidated those divisions from four down to two, effective June 2. That consolidation will likely result in many reassignments, as they’ve explicitly ruled out reductions in force in those units.
