Agree. I have a good friend who has a special needs child at least on the level of a blind child, frankly probably more issues. She was able to accept the full range of her child's issues much more quickly than her husband and got to work navigating the issues. I would not say her husband ever expressed that he was sad he couldn't do X, Y, Z with their kid, but I remember her recounting a couple of really emotional reactions (crying) surrounding specific limitations and the fact that their son needs major surgery every year or two.[/quote]
